It was reported in TODAY that several scare actors at Resorts World Sentosa's (RWS) annual spook fest Halloween Horror Nights were being roughed up by guests.
Here are the common offences:
1. Groping
According to a scare actress, who posted on Facebook last Sunday. (Note: Her original post was taken down. The following are screenshots found on Twitter.)
"We put in so much effort for a good performance only to be molested by people, touching scare actors everywhere..."
2. Punching
TODAY reported:
Mr Neo Ri Xin, 20, a polytechnic student working at Bogeyman, one of the scare zones, said: “He (one of the guests) punched me in the nose, but it wasn’t a very hard punch. And another time, I scared a girl and her boyfriend pushed me.”
3. Kicking
A 20-year-old scare actress only known as Min told TODAY :
“One of the more serious cases that were reported to us was last year, when one guy kicked one of the female performer’s crotch and punched her for scaring him."
One safety precaution for scare actors includes the presence of security staff. RWS also reserves the right to kick perpetrators out.
If you think you could get away with doing all these, think again. Look up and you will find some fairly visible CCTVs installed in the haunted houses.
Remember to smile, perpetrators.
Cue Liam Neeson.
Wrong Neeson. Should be this one.
If you are not scared of a 62-year-old man, how about this?
But don't worry, they won't bite. Heck, they can't even touch you.
