If you love green tea and bubble tea, you're in luck.

Japanese dessert brand, Mel Pot, recently introduced its take on the much-loved bubble tea.

Matcha bubble tea with a twist

Called Matcha Lovers (S$7.80), this limited-edition drink is essentially a matcha-flavoured milk tea topped with Kyoto matcha pudding and a stick of matcha-flavoured KitKat.

In place of the regular tapioca pearls, this drink has diced up warabimochi, a type of mochi that is made from Bracken starch and typically covered in sweet toasted bean flour.

Similar to tapioca pearls, warabimochi is also chewy and has a jelly-like texture.

Other Waramochi Tea from S$5

If you're not much of a fan of matcha, Mel Pot also serves other regular Waramochi Tea flavours including Kyoto Matcha Milk, Pudding Milk, and premium flavours like Brown Sugar Milk and Chocolate Milk.

The regular menu costs S$5 for a medium-sized drink and S$6 for a large-sized drink.

The premium menu costs S$5.50 for a medium-sized drink and S$6.50 for a large-sized drink.
