Olympic champion Joseph Schooling claimed joint-third place in the FINA World Championships 100m fly with a timing of 50.83s.
American Caeleb Dressel won gold with a timing of 49.86s, a whisker away from Michael Phelp's world record of 49.82s.
Kristof Milak of Hungary clinched silver (50.62s) while James Guy from the UK shared the bronze with Schooling.
In the semi final, Schooling qualified with a timing of 50.78s. He won Olympic gold last year with a timing of 50.39s.
