S'pore pair advance into the quarter-finals of Darts World Cup after beating Spain 2-1

Paul and Harith Lim, the Singaporean dart-playing duo that shook the world on Jun. 1 by beating the world number 2 and 3 players from Scotland in the first round of the World Cup of Darts, are on a roll.

The pair beat Spain on Saturday (Jun. 3) to advance into the quarter-finals of the competition, signalling to the world of darts that they are quite a force to to be reckoned with.

In the singles leg of the team matchup, Paul Lim of the Singaporean duo beat Antonio Alcinas of Spain with an impressive 4-0 scoreline. However, Cristo Reyes put Spain on level terms by beating Harith Lim 4-1 in the following singles leg.

In the doubles leg, however, Team Singapore beat Spain 4-0 and successfully booked the country's place in the quarter-finals with the final overall score standing at 2-1.

Addressing Harith Lim's defeat in the singles leg, Paul Lim said in the post-match interview:

"I know Harith for a long time, I know how he felt when he lost his singles and I know he will redeem himself when it comes to the Doubles. I have all the faith in the work, we are a good team because we know each other for 30 years or so."
