S'pore journey at Darts World Cup ends after losing 2-1 to Belgium in quarter-finals

Singaporean dart-playing duo, Paul Lim and Harith Lim, ended their stunning performance at the World Cup of Darts after losing to the Belgian pair in the quarter-finals on Sunday, Jun 4.

In the first singles leg of the team match up, the elder Lim was unable to hold his own against Belgium's Kim Huybrechts, losing 4-1 against the 31-year-old in the best-of-seven leg contest.

Huybrechts is currently ranked world number 12, while his teammate and older brother, Ronny, 51, is ranked world number 47.

The younger Lim, Harith, then brought a draw to the overall score with a 4-2 win against the elder Huybrechts in the second singles leg.

However, the pair did not manage to beat the brothers in the doubles round and lost to the Belgians with a final score of 4-2.

Previously, the Lims successfully scored a stunning upset against Scotland's world number 2 and 3 players in the first round, while also defeating the team from Spain, before facing the Belgians in the quarter-finals.

Despite their defeat at the quarter-finals, lots of love and support poured in for the pair that had done Singapore proud up to this point:
