Last rites performed for Burmese woman who jumped at Interlace condominium

Her family arrived from Myanmar and visited the site of her death.

The family of the Burmese woman who jumped from the Interlace condominium were in Singapore over the June 17 and 18 weekend to seek answers and meet with the authorities here.

The family in Myanmar found out about the woman's death through Facebook as a June 12 video of her fatal jump was widely circulated.

The Burmese woman, a foreign domestic worker, is believed to be 21 years old.

Social media chatter surrounding her death grew as it was revealed the woman had left behind handwritten notes documenting the treatment she received while working in Singapore.

According to Burmese media reports, the woman was working in Singapore for 11 months and her family had only spoken to her once since.

The agent who found her the job in Singapore had allegedly listed her age as 25 on travel documents.
