S'pore office building stops toilet paper supply to tenants as toilet bowls keep getting choked

Just like teaching primary school kids.

Do you work in an office building that provides a steady supply of toilet paper?

If so, you should start appreciating it.

In a bid to get its tenants to learn bathroom etiquette, a building's management personnel has resorted to using Operant Conditioning -- a behavioural technique -- to do so.

And the stimulus employed? Toilet paper.

In other words, toilet supply to tenants will be stopped to teach them a lesson.

In a notice posted by the management, it cited clogged toilet bowls, damaged seat covers, and dirty floors as the reason for its action.

It also added that until the situation improves, the supply of toilet paper will be stopped.

Skyline Building is a seven-storey office building off Waterloo Street, which leases its units to various companies.

Here's the text in the notice in case you can't see it:

Dear tenants,

Due to many recent cases of toilet bowls being choked, toilet bowls seat cover spoiled and toilet paper strewn all over the floor, the work of our cleaner has doubled. The management also face the problem of hiring the cleaner.

In view of the above, the management has forced to take action to STOP SUPPLYING TOILET PAPER TO ALL TOILETS IN THE BUILDING UNTIL THE SITUATION IMPROVES.

We thank you for your attention and cooperation.

So how will the tenants survive this sudden termination of a bathroom necessity?

Here are a few solutions worth considering:

1. Bring their own toilet paper.

2. Continue to choke the toilet bowls.

3. Convince the management to fix the toilet bowl/ pipe problem once and for all.
