Britney Spears S'pore concert tickets are actually either S$468 or S$568 only

For that price, she better be singing live.

The Mickey Mouse Club alumna Britney Spears will be performing in Singapore on June 30, 2017, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Tickets go on sale on May 18.

But when ticket pricing was announced on May 12 by organiser IME Singapore, boy, did a lot of people do a double take:

This was so as even though ticket prices ranged from S$188 to S$568, the majority of seats have been essentially earmarked for Cat 1 (yellow) and Cat 2 (blue), priced at S$568 and S$468 respectively.

The rest are just leftover pockets of seats that are priced cheaper as they are far away from the stage or offer views at odd angles:

The Facebook page of IME Singapore has since been bombarded with criticisms by fans calling for a lowering of prices.

As a comparison, the 35-year-old former pop star's concert is indeed priced considerably higher than other artistes' who will be in Singapore for concerts.

Sting's upcoming concert this month is priced between S$108 and S$288, while Mandopop star A-Mei's concert in June is priced between S$98 and S$288.

We're not sure what Britney Spears is banking on as the last time she performed in Singapore was nearly 20 years ago at a closed-door event.

Her most recent album, Glory, was released last year.

Spears will also perform in Hong Kong, Japan and the Philippines as part of her Asia tour.

Really makes you want to sing If U Seek Amy.
