Chomp Chomp Food Centre, which was closed for renovation and upgrading for about two to three months has since reopened.

The food centre, formerly known as Serangoon Garden Food Centre started operations in 1972 but has a history spanning back to the 1960's.

Over the course of the years, they have been through a few upgrades, first in 1998 and a major one in 2003 to 2004.

There are many classic favourites at Chomp Chomp, including Ah Hock Hokkien Mee, Che Jian Hokkien Mee and Good Luck Chicken Wings and Satay.

Other well-loved favourites include the Sambal Stingray at Hai Wei Seafood BBQ, Oyster Omelette from Ang Sa Lee Fried Oyster and the Carrot Cake from the no-name stall (at #01-36)

You can also try out the overdose-inducing Sugarcane Tower.

However, there are some mixed reviews about the food; the heat and smoke-filled atmosphere might not be everyone's favourite thing to experience, along with the snaking queues during peak hours.

But it should be better ventilated now.

At least it won't be as bad as Artbox, we suppose and no Chilli Crab Cheese Fries or Lamb Rendang Mee Pok for sure.

Here's a video by ieatishootipost, which should give you a preview of the newly reopened food centre.
