Taxi hit by cyclist who came outta nowhere but fails to execute RKO

Almost a Darwin awardee.

We were taught at the Road Safety Park that if you want to switch lanes on a bicycle, you put out your hand in the direction you are going to indicate your intentions.

But beyond just signalling your intention, you have to check the traffic in the lane you are filtering into, because you know, there may be a stampeding elephant which will not give way.

Something similar happened to this cyclist who thought that raising his hand to signal is some sort of talisman against a tonne of metal, physics, and a lack of road sense.

Many people who saw the video commented that the cyclist was probably in a blindspot of the taxi driver and was blocked by the Honda. Credit to the taxi driver, he tried his best to avoid the cyclist.

Netizens were all in pointing out the dangerous riding by the cyclist:

bicycle fail

Here's more people berating the cyclist and calling for safer cycling habits:

bicycle fail 1

The uncle on the bicycle did extend his arm out like he was going to execute the RKO on the taxi. Just sayin'
