The teacher could be heard shouting a vulgar word at the student, who also raised her voice. Students in the class could be seen laughing.

The school is believed to be Northbrooks Secondary School, located at Yishun Ring Road, which is in Yishun, a thoroughly wonderful estate.

According to a school spokesperson, the teacher is no longer working in the school. Both student and teacher have also apologised and counselled.

The incident occurred on Monday, Feb. 27, when the class was "supervised by a young, untrained relief teacher".

Relief teachers are hired when a school requires their services.

The school has also offered necessary support to students and are in touch with their parents.
