Many of us have heard stories of cancer survivors. If we're lucky enough, it will just be that - stories.

For Jenn, however, it was a harrowing case of non-fiction. Six months into a relationship, she was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer. We covered her exhausting journey to recovery here.

Now, in a series of photos, she shares how her boyfriend stood by her throughout the arduous fight against the cancer, never once faltering.

"It was my birthday and he made me my favourite tiramisu cake. That was way back in 2014."

Everything was going well for the couple - they had their careers, went on trips, and were enormously happy together.

However, almost six months into the relationship, Jenn diagnosis of the cancer meant that she had to undergo a serious surgery to remove a 4.8kg cyst.

The recovery process was tough, but she always had him. He also shaved his head to show solidarity.

He made her promise to never give up:

"But we keep assuring each other that we will fight this battle together.... and he wants me to promise him that I will never ever give up... and I still remember him asking me to shout it out loud! hahahah.. I shy ok! Cos its so awkward! but I still did it! And I kept my promise!"

Slowly, Jenn's hair began to grow back. All this while, he would always make time for her despite his busy job.

She couldn't believe that he was sticking around, despite the fact that they have only been together for 6 months and Jenn feeling that she didn't look her best.

Even though they had financial difficulties, a simple bus ride around the city constituted happy times.

In the last photo of her album, they went on another diving trip.

"And finally, my first dive trip in April 2016 after my cancer journey.

Cancer has taught us to look beyond the typical routine life we used to have... and now, we realized that we appreciate things more than before...

we even lead much simpler but high quality life than before..

we no longer enjoy eating out but balance lifestyle is what we love now..

Thank YOU God for the great reminder... to allow me to look at life differently and thank you for sending me this love of my life...

And to my dearest man, thank you for loving me..."

Now, Jenn hopes to #spreadlovecreatehope by sharing her story.
