It's not even her cat, but she was overjoyed.

This following dramatic footage showing a bodacious cat rescue in Sembawang earlier in February this year will also leave you semi-hysterical and in tears:

The cat that was being rescued had been stuck in two trees for 10 days. How did that even happen, requires some retelling.

The cat was first heard making noises every night beginning Feb. 3, when it went up a tree and could not get down on its own. Food and water were left for the cat, but that didn’t lure it down.

On Feb. 10, a week later, the Sembawang Town Council approached the cat with poles and ladders in hand.

But they failed to rescue the cat, which had for some strange cat logic, decided to climb even higher.

Finally, when the authorities from the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) stepped in, they almost succeeded — as the timid kitty jumped down to the pavement.

And then proceed to run up another tree.

Finally, it was successfully brought down the second tree on Feb. 13 with the help of the town council once again.

A cherry-picker crane was deployed to reach the cat, and it fell safely into one of the many safety blankets deployed by a community of multi-ethnic volunteer residents.

And that was how the makcik could not contain her happiness as she wept with joy that the cat is fine.

She also made it clear it wasn't her cat though. Check out the video from the 1 min 38 sec mark.

The makcik was almost inconsolable and a man beside told her she can bring the cat to the vet now.
