Lonely monitor lizard strolls into Jurong East Swimming Complex on Valentine's Day for a leisurely swim

Must've been quite a Valentine's Day surprise for swimmers there.

Like many singles, Valentine's Day might have been a slightly lonely affair for one particular monitor lizard in Singapore.

It's 2017, though, so of course the right thing to do is to seize the day and make it your own — and that's exactly what it did.

Twitter user @syxirxh_ uploaded a video of it doing just that — taking its singlehood into its own claws, and spending its very own Valentine's Day out and about.

By strolling right into the Jurong East Swimming Complex, and hopping into its lazy river for a leisurely swim:

From the clip, no one appears to have been alarmed, including the pool's staff, who appear rather nonchalant or oblivious to the presence of the probably-single-and-swinging visitor:

We doubt anyone was harmed by our reptilian visitor's casual outing, but you probably would be better off staying clear of its path.
