Nothing to do? How about browsing the world?

How does travelling without moving from your seat sound?

Pretty good, if you asked us.

And now you can, with Radio Garden -- an interactive globe that allows you to explore live radio around the world and tune in to stations as they are broadcasting right now.

While many of the radio stations may sound familiar with Justin Bieber crooning on the airwaves (or Elvis Presley in Iceland, anyone?), there's definitely something foreign and adventurous about tuning in to radio live from Syria, Moscow, Nepal or Madagascar (sadly, there isn't North Korea. We've checked).

The interactive site, which looks just like Google Earth, is easy to navigate. Covered with green dots that each represent a radio station, all you need to do is spin the globe to jump from continent and country -- and you can tune in to the radio station of your choice at the click of a button.

You can also explore clips from throughout radio history with "History" and get a world-wide crash course in station identification under the tab "Jingles".

There's also a podcast feature called "stories" where people talk about their transnational radio experience.

The web app, which was first posted on Reddit last month, has since gone viral among netizens.

Designed by Amsterdam-based companies Studio Puckey and Monikor, the web app is part of a research project that focuses on radio across geographical and linguistic borders.

While Radio Garden is not yet a comprehensive list of all radio stations in the world, it currently has more than 8,000 stations and counting.

Stations that want to be on the globe are encouraged to get in touch with Studio Puckey.

The only station currently featured in Singapore is Yes 933FM -- but hey, we don't care cos' we're definitely not there to listen to local radio.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Radio Garden is also available in the Google Play store and Apple App store.

Recently, Norway became the first and only nation to switch off analog FM radio.
