SMRT bus driver allegedly drives off without letting passenger alight, chases after passenger when gets picture taken

On Jan. 3, Twitter user @deadchildx was trying a alight from the top deck of a double-decker bus No. 979. He said that he had waited for the bus to stop at the bus stop before walking to alight. However the bus supposedly moved off while he was still on the stairs. He said that he had waited for the bus to stop at the bus stop before walking to alight.

He then pressed the 'Bus Stop' button in an attempt to get the bus to stop but to no avail. He pressed the button two more times. On the last attempt, he claimed that the bus driver "screeched the bus to a halt" and shouted at him to "press some more". He said that he kept quiet for "5-10 minutes" before the bus driver started moving off again.

After alighting, @deadchildx said he took photographs of the driver and the bus' number plate. He said that the bus driver "immediately jumped out and tried to chase" him and had the "intention to whack" him.
