So, The Straits Times decided to get creative by putting up a Facebook post of photos featuring a North-East Line (NEL) Christmas-themed train unveiled by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Thursday, Dec. 8.

The train, with its interior decorated with swirling snowflake patterns, will run till Dec. 31.

The jingle accompanying the ST post read:

In the train

Snow is glittering

A beautiful sight,

On NEL tonight,

Riding in a winter wonderland.

And boy, were ST in for a brutal beating in the comments section as Singaporeans took to making their own savage jingles in response.
