Some 1.3 million households in Singapore would have received flyers sent out over the last few weeks by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

The CAAS said on Nov. 6 these updated flyers now come in four languages as part of the "Pack It Right For Your Flight” campaign, which was launched in 2015.

All these paper have been printed because travellers here are still clueless about what items they should check in or hand carry and what are the items that are banned on a flight.

To help prevent more trees from being chopped down to print flyers, here's a handy electronic cut-out-and-keep guide to what can and cannot be carried on board a flight, which would prevent delays and disappointment and possible environmental disaster:

Lithium batteries and power banks

- Must be hand carried

- Must be individually bagged in transparent, resealable plastic bag

- Batteries may cause short circuits and fires when in contact

- No Samsung Note 7 should be brought on board

Liquids, aerosols and gels

- Must be kept in containers not more than 100ml each (i.e. the container cannot be more than 100ml even when the contents are less than 100ml)

- Must all fit into a transparent, resealable plastic bag

- Only 1 sealed bag is allowed per person for carry on

- Maximum capacity of 1 litre in total

Items not allowed on plane

- Lighter fluid

- Or anything explosive, flammable, corrosive or poisonous
