This is S'pore's latest food trend which lets you smoke like a dragon

Puff the magic dragon.

Skittish Singaporeans are moving on fast from cheese tarts to queue for something else.

Your everyday cereal - now fancifully named Dragon’s Breath - is the latest hit in the long line of food fads.

From $6.50 a pop, customers get to choose from grilled corn, cereal, and meringue, all in a bath of liquid nitrogen. Eating it grants you the ability to exhale copious amounts of smoke, hence the name.

Although the hype is in its nascent stages, queues are looking well-formed enough.

While the liquid nitrogen certainly puts a visual spin on the snack, we’re not quite sure if it adds anything but the sensation of coldness to the tongue.

As expected, many have recorded the smoke-breathing spectacle on social media for posterity, because if you’re paying $6.50 for a cup of cereal you gotta milk it for all it’s worth.
