LTA vehicle getting fined proves heroes do work in public service

Taking your job seriously.

As citizens of a country notorious for imposing fines on everything (including not flushing in public toilets), most Singaporeans are a well-disciplined bunch that rarely flout the rules.

It is, however, also good to know that the authorities themselves are not above the law.

Therefore, below is a picture of a parking enforcement officer writing a parking ticket for a Land Transport Authority vehicle for your perverse viewing pleasure.

lta-warden

Some have hailed this image as a sign of non-discrimination. Others have resorted to the colloquial "ownself check ownself".

While others are calling for the warden to be bestowed a medal for his impartiality, some cynics are calling it an act. Ah well.

Honest questions though: Who would pay the fine? LTA? The person driving the vehicle that day? Can appeal to MP?
