Here are the crappy supermoon images from S'pore because moonsoon rain clouds are the worst

Turns out it was the biggest non-event in 70 years.

According to Associate Professor Lim Tit Meng, Chief Executive of the Science Centre Singapore, the odds of seeing the supermoon in Singapore on Nov. 14, 2016, is a big, fat zero.

Lim told Channel News Asia:

"Unfortunately, we're in the rainy season, and looking at the thick clouds above us, the chances of seeing the supermoon are almost close to zero - this is my personal view, looking at the situation now."

The biggest and brightest the moon would appear tonight was at 10pm -- and that time has past.

Across Singapore, people were armed with cameras and waited with bated breath -- but the monsoon clouds decided to play punk and rained on everybody's parade.

The biggest supermoon in 70 years has been reduced to a blotch in the sky, where it cannot be seen 90 percent of the time, and when it can, it is barely recognisable -- although slightly brighter than usual -- due to the dense cloud cover.

The next time a supermoon of this size appears again will be on Nov. 25, 2034.

Nonetheless, here are some photos from across Singapore of what people here saw -- which turned out to be the biggest non-event in 70 years:

On the other hand, these are the spectacular sights our neighbouring countries saw:
