On Oct. 13, Chinese newspaper Lianhe Zaobao posted a comic on their website, which was borrowed by Pink Dot SG:
While comics are a regular part of the paper, this one is subtly controversial.

Girl to guy: I hate 'these kind of people' (referring to the gay couple on the left)! Handsome boys are only compatible with pretty girls!
Bottom images:
Guy to girl: But do you think handsome guys will be interested in ugly girls like you?
Girl to guy: Shut up!
The comic was published in that day's physical newspaper as well.
The ambiguity of the comic allows it to be read as a piece that is either pro- or anti-LGBT.
