There have been a few pictures throughout the year that are in the running for the "restores faith in Singapore the most" award (an award we is made up but real enough).
There was the picture of a woman using her hijab to shelter her grandmother, and this picture below, among others.
Make Singapore great again
Well, a new contender for the restore faith movement has appeared.
Former reporter Ong Soh Chin, uploaded this picture taken by a friend of hers, Leanne Sim, that will make you feel a little better about the coming week:
Bonus information: The Canossian nun in the middle is Sister Cecily Pavri, former Principal of what is now known as St. Anthony's Canossian Secondary School.
She was in 1996 conferred the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) too.
List of things that make Singapore quite an awesome place
Racial harmony? Check.
Religious harmony? Also check.
Safe environment for women?
Yup, as pointed out by former editor Irene Hoe.
And, although it is still a rather contentious matter, we'll take the reserved seating for those who need it more as a win this time too.
So yeah, we absolutely concur with the plastic bag.
Great way to start a Monday.
