Big Splash at East Coast Park is closing down soon on Oct. 21, 2016.
The announcement on their Facebook page states that the lease with with the National Parks Board (NParks) will expire and the site will be returned to the government for redevelopment.
According to The Straits Times, some tenants will shut down earlier than the October deadline.
One of them, which already did, is Seafood International, a 500-seat restaurant that has been operating at the location since 1983. It closed its doors on Sept. 16.
No details are available with regards to redevelopment plans.
Some of the tenants have indicated they will be moving to other locations.
Big Splash was built in 1977 and has been in operation for 40 years. It was known for having the tallest water slides in Singapore.
