Nathan Hartono, the 25-year old Singaporean singer who impressed Sing! China competition's megastar judges -- Jay Chou, Harlem Yu, Na Ying and Wang Feng -- during last Friday's show, is making waves again in the music scene.

His new single, Electricity, released just a day ago, is now number 6 on Singapore's iTunes chart.

In fact, his single is performing better than Mandopop king Jay Chou's new song (No.8), who is now his mentor for the singing competition.

The music video, which features 987FM's DJ Kimberly Wang, has already garnered more than 105,000 views.

During the show, Chou raised the possibility of the two performing together in Singapore.

Who knows? Chou may end up becoming the opening act for Hartono if the Nanyang Primary School and Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) alumnus wins the competition.
