Traffic police car hits BMW near Geylang Serai Hari Raya Bazaar

According to an eyewitness, the police car was chasing another car.

A traffic police patrol car was involved in a collision with a BMW on Sunday, June 26, at the junction of Geylang Road and Engku Aman Road at about 9pm.

The scene of the accident is near Haig Road and the Geylang Serai Hari Raya Bazaar.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said one male driver in his 30s was conveyed to Changi General Hospital as a result of the accident.

The hood of the traffic police vehicle and the rear end of the BMW was smashed.

According to Channel News Asia, an unnamed eyewitness said the police vehicle looked like it was engaged in a chase with another car prior to the crash.

However, after hitting the BMW, the car being pursued managed to flee.
