Thanks to this girl, foreign workers in Singapore can cycle at night safely

People like Hoh Siow Har make Singapore a much brighter place to live in.

Here's a reason for us to believe in humanity, especially on the back of the incident involving a certain angry woman over the weekend.

Our spirits have been lifted thanks to Hoh Siow Har, a cyclist, who wrote on Facebook about an unofficial mission she is on: to equip foreign worker cyclists in Singapore with front and rear lights for their bicycles, for their safety.

Hoh said she was inspired to act after attending a meditation course, and meeting many foreign workers who cycle on Singapore's park connector networks at night on bicycles that lack head and rear lights -- either because they don't want to fork out for the cost or don't see the need to use lights.

An avid cyclist, she, too, plys those routes quite often:

Indeed, Hoh is brightening Singapore's park connectors, one foreign worker's bicycle at a time. Cheers for making cycling safer for them and for the rest of us!
