Cast of Les Misérables really catch no ball with Singlish

They agaration also cannot make it.

They can sing, prance around and put on quite a show.

But can the cast of Les Misérables, currently performing in Singapore, do Singlish?

Apparently, no. Because no one in this world can -- unless you have inhabited Singapore long enough. And even then...

In this video put up on the Les Misérables Singapore Facebook page, the cast, comprising of actors and actresses who play characters such as Javert, Jean Valjean, Fantine and Cosette, were made to guess what Singlish words meant, such as "Abuden", "My one" and "Catch no ball":

This video will prove once and for all that no one actually understands Singlish by rationalising it, can't even guess what it means even if you sat them down and make them dig deep, but a good indication of how far foreigners are willing to pander to us by learning it. Or about it.

Cute, nonetheless.
