A lorry crane crashed into and toppled the roof of a walkway at a carpark in Bukit Batok on Friday morning.

We got these photos at Block 118, Bukit Batok West Avenue 6, courtesy of freelance photographer Yeo Kai Wen, who chanced on the scene earlier:

The lorry crane, which according to eyewitnesses was extended, slammed into the walkway around 9.30am.

In a statement shared with Mothership.sg, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they got a call at 9.37am, and dispatched one fire engine and an ambulance to the scene.

No one was injured, thankfully, apart from the shelter, which crushed one car and damaged the concrete path below.

We hope this car owner's motor insurance will cover the repairs and not affect his NCD. Ow.

I'm sure the walkway has a reason to fall.
