Just 2 adult ducks & 7 ducklings waddling about making S'pore their garden

How orderly.

Not only has Singapore become home to a thriving population of 50 otters, it is now officially a duck nation as well.

A pair of adult ducks were seen leading a string of seven ducklings in an orderly line, an amusing scene caught on video, which will most likely signal the start of more of such videos to come:

Animals and humans thriving in such close proximity is nothing new, especially given Singapore's biodiversity, which is second to none, due to our equatorial location.

Over the years, a heightened consciousness of environmental degradation has led to plans being laid and projects carried out to preserve whatever's left of the fragile ecosystem's inhabitants, where green spaces have been built over as Singapore modernised.

This includes a patchwork of projects such as creating Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park’s man-made river over two years and starting work on an ambitious project to revitalise 24km stretch of disused rail corridor.
