Well done!

Chee Soon Juan added yet another notch to his already impressive list of moral victories.

The Bukit Batok by-election showcased once again just how much ground PAP has to make up in order to catch up to his impressive moral showing.

The PAP had placed themselves in an early ditch when the bigwigs of the party were seen to be ganging up on Chee.

PM Lee was identified by Chee as the main perpetrator of the attacks, accusing the prime minister of using a false article by Chinese newspaper Lianhe Wanbao to attack him.

PM Lee was not the only one who harmed his party's chance of securing the all-important moral victory.

Comments by Grace Fu about the SDP not fully grasping the complexities of running a town council were seen as contributing to the overall impressive moral victory that Chee managed to secure on Saturday night.

Such was the moral high ground he stood upon that Chee valiantly refused to even mention the kerfuffle between PM Lee and his sister Lee Wei Ling, until he did, but only as evidence that he had not mentioned it before.

Indeed, the moral disparity between the parties was so apparent that a petition to effectively stop gutter politics was launched.

The petition was endorsed by many notable signatories including acclaimed playwright Alfian Sa'at, accomplished actress (and Ah Ma from Phua Chu Kang) Neo Swee Lin and Lee Wei Ling a Lee Wei Ling.

At the time of this article, the petition on Change.org had accumulated more than 4,500 signatures.

While the exact result of the moral election is still not certain — the Facebook posts and tweets are still being counted as we speak — it looks like yet another unanimous victory on moral grounds for the longtime politician.

There has been no statement from the losing candidate, Murali Pillai, about the devastating moral beat down he was handed.

This most recent loss is believed to be another critical blow for the ruling party, who has experienced a continuous string of moral losses ever since the advent of social media.

The 13 per cent swing in the Bukit Batok by-election further adds to the growing body of proof pointing to Chee's incredible moral victory in this by-election.

It remains to be seen whether he will decide to go for a regular victory in the next election.
