From June 11 (Singapore time), 26 community clubs in Singapore will be screening the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament live.

A total of 51 matches will be shown during the month-long competition.

It is scheduled to be held in France from June 10 to July 10, 2016. Spain are currently the two-time defending champions.

The final of the quadrennial competition takes place on July 11 (Singapore time) at the Stade de France in Paris.

The People's Association (PA) said in a statement on May 30 that the screenings would allow people from various races and social background to share their love for football.

PA's chief executive director Ang Hak Seng, said: "When we screened World Cup and Barclays Premier League matches, many residents enjoyed the atmosphere while cheering for their favourite teams."

"We are happy to offer another occasion for neighbours to enjoy football fever together with their friends, and hopefully make some new ones in the process."
