A heartwarming story that will bring a tear to your eye about Liverpool football club players and manager personally signing a get-well-soon card for a Singaporean man who fell into a coma after suffering a cardiac arrest, contained one scary sentence.

The story, as reported by Yahoo Singapore, halfway through read:

After being advised to pull the plug, the family sought a second opinion at SGH and eventually decided to transfer Firdaus there.

The context:

A 28-year-old Singaporean man, Firdaus Osman, was admitted to Changi General Hospital (CGH) in critical condition on April 5. He had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest after working a night shift.

His heart was determined to have stopped for around 40 minutes, but he was successfully resuscitated.

He was put on life support and took him five days to open his eyes as he continued to lie motionless.

However, he responded when his brother played Liverpool's anthem, You Will Never Walk Alone.

CGH had advised the family to pull the plug on him but the family sought a second opinion from Singapore General Hospital, and later transferred him there.

After the transfer, the man's younger brother contacted Liverpool about his brother's plight and hoped they can do something to make him happy.

Liverpool responded with an email containing a personally autographed certificate.

The card was brought to Firdaus and he woke up and read it with tears in his eyes.

The man who was in coma is alive, although not completely well yet, but alive and responding, nonetheless.

Moral of the story: Liverpool football club is a good club and never send me to Changi General Hospital if I ever fall into a coma.
