S'porean guy with a lot of tattoos helps visually-impaired man, has a message for all S'poreans

It's funny because it's true.

Here's something to think about: A Singaporean man and his friends helped a visually-impaired man at the MRT.

They then put up their gracious antics on Facebook to highlight one point.

We've taken the liberty to paraphrase what he wrote (You can read the original post below):

This is a message for all Singaporean citizens who hold themselves in high regard and also to SMRT.

As I had an unprovoked urge to take the public transport to town, I parked my car at Bugis and took the train to Orchard Road. When I was there, I witnessed a visually-impaired Indian man walking by himself unassisted for four minutes, all the while, with no one stepping up to help him. I was infuriated by the lack of empathy by the rest of the people who walked by. So much for a gracious society! This is a standard of civic-mindedness that is unacceptable. Hence, my group of friends and I brought the visually-impaired Indian man to the MRT platform and travelled with him to Tanjong Pagar. We were aghast there wasn't even a SMRT staff to help. And yet, people judge my friends and me for having tattoos and resembling low-life gangsters. Hence, I dedicate this act of kindness to everyone. Because this has shown that you are no way better than us, only that you are entitled to your high-mindedness. #youonlyliveonce
