The royal family of Bhutan have put out on Facebook their first official family photo taken with their newborn little prince, who was delivered on Feb. 5, 2016, a few days before Bhutan's New Year festivities.

The photo shows from left to right: Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, his father, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and Queen Jetsun Pema.

The royal baby, referred to as His Royal Highness The Gyalsey, can be seen cradled by the two males.

The Losar day mentioned in the post is an important holiday in countries such as Tibet and Bhutan. It is similar to Chinese New Year and it is celebrated for 15 days, with the first three days being the most important.

Losar occurs near or on the same day as the Chinese New Year and the Mongolian New Year, but the traditions of Losar are unique to Tibet, and predate both Indian and Chinese influences.

This is because the Uyghurs adopted the Chinese calendar, and the Mongols and Tibetans adopted the Uyghur calendar.

It is also celebrated by Himalayan peoples.

Bhutan, a country that had no roads or currency until the 1960s and only began admitting foreign tourists in 1974, has a population of 750,000 people and is traditionally known for being the happiest country in Asia, if not the world.
