Sports Hub CEO Manu Sawhney, who happens to be an independent director at Manchester United, told The Straits Times that he is in discussions with the Red Devils to play a match at the National Stadium in the future.

"I hosted United's commercial director (Jamieson Reigle) at our facility and he was blown away by the place - I told him that it is my absolute dream to bring the Red Devils to Singapore.
[...]
We want to bring the team to Asia more often. Sitting on the board of directors, I am encouraging them to do that."

Beckham was still rocking a crew cut...
Goalie Fabian Barthez made an appearance as an outfield player...
Indra Sahdan scored a consolation goal and celebrated like he won the World Cup.
