S'porean man proposes to girlfriend via Aljunied-Hougang Town Council billboard

It has come to this.

As if asking your significant other to apply for a HDB flat together is not already the most Singaporean thing a couple can do together ever, check out what this man did.

He proposed to his wife-to-be via the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council billboard, while both of them are dressed in t-shirt and shorts, and presumably, slippers too:

This incident was related by their Member-of-Parliament, Workers' Party's Pritam Singh, in a Facebook post on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015.

The banner on the billboard read: "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

Pritam also wrote that his town council is more than happy to facilitate such initiatives and uses of public property as long as it doesn't involve anyone falling off a building.
