Save Our Street Dogs surprised passengers with uber friendly dogs in backseat this Christmas

Get it? Uber?

Posing as a private car for hire, non-profit animal welfare organisation Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) president Dr Siew Tuck Wah took to the streets to pick up unsuspecting passengers and then spring cuteness on them.

Camping out in the backseat are former street dogs who show that they are just furballs of loyalty and friendliness.

The purpose?

SOSD has a Healing Paws programme where the rescued dogs visit homes, hospitals and institutions on a weekly basis to bring joy to people in need.

So they wanted to bring this experience to people on the streets this year-end festive season.

Christmas is a time when we give gifts to our loved ones – everything from cards to tarts, and mugs to rugs. Often, we forget the most precious gifts are the ones money cannot buy – The Gift of Love and Friendship. Hence, we decided to do something special and different this Christmas: reward people with a therapeutic surprise session on-board our car, with a friendly fur-friend from Healing Paws! SOSD’s Healing Paws program visits homes, hospitals and institutions every week to bring joy to people in need. We wanted to bring a little of that joy to people on the streets this Christmas. Posing as a normal private car for hire, we picked up passengers for the day, only for them to discover that they are in for a car ride they will remember for a long time! Watch the video for the heartwarming reactions of the passengers, and feel the Christmas spirit in all its glory. ☺ Help us share the video, and the joy. And this festive season, help make a donation towards Singapore’s homeless dogs, and the Healing Paws program. Every little bit counts, towards making Singapore a better place for the people and animals in need.
