Love to eat beehoon (or rice vermicelli)?

Who doesn't right? From Mee Siam to vegetarian beehoon, the rice-based noodle is a staple for many dishes who love to chow down on.

Recently, photographs of what goes on behind-the-scenes at a beehoon factory in Dong Guan, China has gone viral. And for all the wrong reasons.

Here's why:

Doesn't look too bad, just beehoon overflowing the work table. But still.

Ok there's no way to sugar coat this. It goes downhill from here on out.

Napping in a pile of beehoon may be some beehoon-lover's dream.

Hope he at least got a pedicure for his foot before putting it on the beehoon.

Beehoon, beehoon everywhere across the floor.

At least the beehoon is 'freshly packed' from floor to bag.

These photographs were actually taken during an undercover operation by the Dongguan Food and Drug Administration in early 2014.

The factory where these photographs were captured is Tongcheng Rice Noodle Factory and its owners are facing fines and possible jail time for contravening hygiene standards.
