It's the last day of 2015. Here's your last chance to make your voice count.

Vote wisely.

1. Villain of the year

One was found guilty of misusing millions in church funds.

The other oversaw the worst MRT breakdown in S’pore’s history which disrupted the lives of millions, indirectly turning up the heat on former Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew, who resigned less than a month from GE2015.

And the winner is...

2. Biggest disappointment of the year

For all its hammer waving and insane rallies, it was a year to forget for the Workers' Party (WP) as they couldn't maintain status quo, ceding Punggol East to the People's Action Party (PAP). Come 2016, we will miss MP Lee Li Lian and non-constituency Member of Parliament Gerald Giam and Yee Jenn Jong.

Or the fact that City Harvest Church Finance Manager Serina Wee, who was found guilty, going to jail a bigger disappointment?

3. Influencer of the year

PM Lee vs DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam

Both achieved outstanding results in GE2015: PM Lee's Ang Mo Kio GRC team scored 78.63% while a DPM Tharman-led Jurong GRC did slightly better with 79.28%.

PM Lee went on a social media blitz this year and scored several hits on Facebook this year, including this one:

Though not active online, DPM Tharman's presence was widely felt the past year.

He was revealed to be a poet.

Made tree-planting fun again.

tharman water

Heck, even the opposition loved him.

This should be a tough one.

4. WTF of the year

Breadtalk's (or rather, Yeo's) soya milk was splashed all over the news for the wrong reasons while a music video screamed "Louder than Lambo".

5. Breadtalk mistake of the year

Yeah, the confectionary company was so bad that they deserve another category.

6. Blooper of the year

It was a year to forget for FAS. But what made it unforgivable was this mistake: Using Quah Kim Lye's photo as a tribute to the late Quah Kim Swee.

On the other corner, stood one M. Ravi, who famously (nearly) asked voters to vote for the PAP instead of his own party, Reform Party.

7. Political quote of the year

One sounded drunk. The other was probably the most sobering quote of 2015.

8. Chio bu of the year

Internet_Star_NDP

The lady in red stole one too many hearts during this year's National Day Parade while these two sirens stole one too many views with their amazeball dubsmashing skills.

9. Handsign of the year

This is pretty straightforward.

The finger?

Or the thumb?

thumbs up man

10. Stunned like vegetable of the year

Chee Soon Juan vs Social media's hype

2015 also presented Singapore Democratic Party's Chee Soon Juan a clean slate. His popularity surge among younger, more liberal Singaporeans. More importantly, he managed to swap a huge chunk of his confrontational and rash persona for a more moderate approach. His turnaround was probably one of the highlights of GE2015.

The online crowd believed that the opposition will win big but alas, the SG50 effect brought the social media's hypetrain down on its knees. Really stunned like vegetable, this one.
