Here's one for the film buff who also happens to also be a S-League fan.
At last week's (Oct. 20) match between Geylang International and Tampines Rovers, which ended 4-1 in favour of Tampines Rovers if you really want to know, this piece of arthouse film moment happened.
Yup the floodlights went off on one side of Bedok stadium when Tampines Rovers Head Coach V. Sundramoorthy was in the midst of answering some questions for the post-match interview.
Look harder and you can see footballers cooling down on the field after 90 minutes of football.
The timely switching off of the floodlights also reminded us of a Wong Kar Wai movie titled, In the Mood for Love, which is all about moody cinematography and clever use of lighting like this:
The auteur's creative influence continued to the interview with Geylang International head coach Jorg Steinebrunner.
Who, with his half-lit face, channeled the Tony Leung look from Wong Kar Wai's movie, Happy Together.
In comparison, the video of the match between Hougang United and Brunei DPMM on the same day failed to hit the creative heights.
The post-match interview clearly lacked artistic integrity with its bright lighting, 90s-inspired blinds and run-of-the-mill sofa.
