This one really BTBLP.

Don't say we bo jio: Singapore Customs – the authority that is all about enforcement, trade facilitation and security functions – has branched out to selling confiscated alcohol.

More than 1,000 seized cartons of Corona Extra beer will be made available to the public tomorrow (July 22) from 10am to 3pm at the Customs Operations Command (21 Keppel Road, Singapore 089067).

This is, however, not the first time Singapore Customs is selling confiscated alcohol. On June 25, it auctioned off more than 42,000 bottles of brandy, whisky, wine, other liquor and beer to the public.

To be fair, 1,000 cartons are obviously too much for Singapore Customs to store, unlike 1,000 cartons of cigarettes. One can only hope the Customs runs out of place for cigarettes too.

The beer will only be sold by the carton (24 bottles), by the way, not by the bottle, although we're fairly sure alcoholics wouldn't be put off by that detail.

We don't yet know how much they're selling each carton for. But a quick check at Lazada indicates that a carton of Corona Extra costs $89.90.

In other news, Vin Diesel — the world's biggest Corona fan — will probably be first in line.
