Here's what SingTel postpaid customers must do to enjoy free local data usage on May 1

Every day is better again. For postpaid customers.

After not living up to its brand promise for more than four hours on April 22, 2015, SingTel announced yesterday (April 24) that May 1 shall be more than just plain ol' May Day or a public holiday.

It will be the day when the big red telco decides to waive off local data charges to all its postpaid customers only. Nothing for prepaid customers though.

Guess this will be helpful for the unionists who wish to do some live-streaming of their celebrations during the May Day Rally. Maybe Hong Lim park protesters can take this opportunity to stream a movie marathon there.

However, to enjoy that one day when you can be the ultimate hotspot, please take note that:

Second, switch off and on (restart) your device after 00:00hrs on 1 May 2015, in order to restart a new local data usage session to enjoy this benefit. This will ensure that your phone is not running any continuous background data session.

You are welcome.
