ST had second thoughts about '30 ways to live cheaply' listicle, took it down, put it back up again

Singaporeans call ST out.

After receiving massive flak online, The Straits Times for a few hours deleted the article “30 ways to live ‘cheaply’ in Singapore, the world’s 'most expensive city'” by Jalelah Abu Baker from their website that was published on March 12, 2015.

If you clicked on the link, the page was empty but you could still read the article in Google's cache. It is believed that the article was inaccessible for several hours, from at least 10am to about 3pm on March 13, 2015.

The article's disappearance was also noted on Hardware Zone forum at 9.55am (Click on picture to go to forum):
