Singer Stefanie Sun among the first to pay respects to the late Lee Kuan Yew

Despite her celebrity status, Sun queued up calmly and politely like everyone else.

Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao reported that singer Stefanie Sun was among those queuing up like everyone else to pay their last respects to Singapore's first prime minister Lee Kuan Yew.

The government had announced that Lee’s body will lie in state at Parliament House from 25 March 25 (today) to March 28 (Saturday), for the public to pay their respects.

Sun was recently interviewed on radio station Y.E.S. 93.3FM about her memories of Lee:

Sun mentioned that she had the privilege to meet Lee face-to-face several times. She added that while Lee appeared stern in most occasions, she had also seen Lee smile warmly a couple of times.

Sun also took to her micro blog Weibo to share with her followers the passing of Lee:
