The "most powerful man on radio" and TV man "Nicholas Lee is Ronnie" are taking round two of their slug fest onto a third medium.

In a no-holds barred interview with The Straits Times today, both of them only had kind words for each other. Glenn Ong said:

"The show honestly is just so bad on so many levels I really don't know where to begin. Besides, as long as Nicholas Lee and his friends love it and find it watchable that's the most important thing. Who cares about what us viewers think right? It's local, so must support no matter what!? Nope, not me. Sorry!"

In a quite "un-Ronnie" interview, Nicholas Lee whacked him back:

"The show represents the collective efforts of over 200 Singaporeans over 14 months under very challenging circumstances. For Glenn to disrespect their efforts with a dismissive comment on social media reflects his shallow, ignorant, judgemental and self-centred personality... If you don't like the show, just shut the f*** up and change the channel. That's what I used to do when he was on radio."

There's a lot of effort, it must be good.

Yes, Nicholas, we can easily change the channel. But with so many brilliant dramas and youtube channels out there, 2025 risks being a mere footnote in the history of Channel 5 if the quality of the show is attached to just the "efforts of over 200 Singaporeans over 14 months under very challenging circumstances".

So if, over 200 Singaporeans come together to sell cai png, then it must be good?

So what the heck is 2025?

According to Mediacorp:

2025, a science-fiction mystery thriller series based on science-fact, aims to be a groundbreaking series; a science-fiction/fact thriller incorporating advanced VFX to envision tomorrow’s technologies in a story set in the near future.

It started quite well with opening shots like these.

Or maybe the driver renewed the COE several times.

In case you are wondering, here's what the "critics" had to say about 2025.

"Brilliant concept." said one Justin L.

"Thrilling and intense," cooed a Nicholas S. R.

"Must watch!" a Sylvia H. shrieked.

"Brave and ambitious," said 8 Days. Not that they have much of a choice.

"Self praise is not praise," said Mothership.
