According to Richest Lifestyle, a website that specialises in ranking rich people and things using their own pseudo-quantitative measures, Singaporean Pastor Joseph Prince from New Creation Church has a net worth of S$6 million.

Which makes him the 10th wealthiest pastor on God's green Earth:

10) Joseph Prince – Net worth: $5 Million (Singapore)

Annual salary of this Singaporean pastor is $550,000. Pastor Joseph Prince is the senior pastor of the New Creation Church in Singapore. The New Creation Church’s financial income was reported at $44.7 million US dollars in 2008. He hosts a religious program called “Destined to Reign.” He has addressed many congregations worldwide.

Do note that the figures quoted above are in US dollars. So you need to do a bit of currency conversion.

The top 10 list from the website even helpfully ends with this note: "These pastors are respected by Christians all over the world."

Update, 1pm, Oct. 22, 2014: New Creation Church has released a statement on their website on Oct. 21, 2014, emphasising that Pastor Joseph Prince's net worth is "substantially lower" than the US$5 million (S$6.3 million) alleged by online reports and that he has not drawn a salary from the church since 2009.

The church added that it is “disappointed with the manner in which the reports were generated and circulated without proper effort having being made to validate the facts”, but refrained from providing exact figures as they regard the pastor's "net worth as being personal in nature".

However, news from Yahoo! Singapore did validate the facts from the start: They cited a report by CelebrityNetWorth.com, stating that Prince has not been on the church's payroll since 2009.

Yahoo! went further to provide more details and cited a Reuters report from earlier this year where New Creation Church collected some $75.5 million in tithes two years ago, according to filings with Singapore’s Commissioner of Charities.

This is New Creation Church's statement in full:

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: CLARIFICATION OF RECENT REPORTS ON SENIOR PASTOR JOSEPH PRINCE’S PERSONAL FINANCES

It has come to the attention of the Council that several recent online reports have made claims of Senior Pastor Joseph Prince’s net worth and the salary that he draws from the church.

The Council is concerned by the aspersions cast by these unsubstantiated allegations on the church and the work of Pastor Prince. Pastor Prince has not, since 2009, drawn any salary from the church. While the Council regards Pastor Prince’s net worth as being personal in nature, Pastor Prince has nonetheless shared with the Council that his net worth is substantially lower than the US$5m that has been alleged.

Indeed, Pastor Prince recognises that a strong foundation of corporate governance can only enhance the church and had in 2009 voluntarily stepped down from membership of the Council to focus on his spiritual role.

The Council is disappointed with the manner in which the reports were generated and circulated without proper effort having being made to validate the facts. The Council asks that these reports be withdrawn or clarified, so as not to undermine the good work of the church and Pastor Prince.
