Is S'pore a spoilt nation?

Mmm maybe.

Here is a documentary video featuring interviews with everyday Singaporeans asking for their views about Singapore, such as if we are too privileged and if we have gotten all our priorities wrong.

It is like a blog post but in video form.

It was uploaded on YouTube on Oct. 20, 2014, co-produced by Obey Singapore, an, erm, clothing company.

Here are some choice quotes from the video for you to chew on:

"The life in Singapore now is getting very complicated."

George Guan, Taxi driver

"We are extremely spoilt. We are ridiculously spoilt, because we have everything here and we expect everything to be this way and we probably have no idea what it's like to have absolutely nothing."

Vanessa Fernandez, Singer-songwriter, radio director

"You have a choice to make a living. The fact you have a choice puts us in a very enviable position. But if you take this for granted, then we are tagging happiness to something else you'd never attain, right?"

Sharon Cher, Retail entrepreneur

"People are really not prioritising the right things in their lives. You know, things like cultural understanding, education, knowledge. And all that is really just being clouded over by all these aspirations."

"You've got family and friends and your own career to think about. All these unnecessary aspirations, cars and getting into the right clubs and being known and your one million and one types of selfies and how you look on Instagram. You know, there are a lot more things that will calm us down as people if we put things into perspective."
