The annual ritual brings together men 'trapped' in an environment for days on end produces some of the most honest observations about their time away from their families protecting Singapore.

*Disclaimer*: Although the feedback comes across like complaints, most of them were said in a moment of jest/mild irritation and because the men were all bored out of their minds.

 

1. On reporting timing

"This is an organisation that gathers men three hours earlier for one big f**k who will appear 30 minutes late to talk for five minutes."

 

2. On camp 'facilities'

"How on earth can 40 men share just one toilet bowl and one shower cubicle?"

 

3. On changing of plans last minute

"If exercise can suka suka cancel, if got war can we also cancel?"

 

4. On equality of treatment

"Why my platoon always kena the most saikang one?"

 

5. On camps being green zone

"Heng can bring smartphone now, if not my brain sure rot here."

 

6. On meals

"SFI/Food fare is damn consistent, ten years already it still tastes the same - consistently bad."

 

7. On different ways to prepare food

"Western food day is best, why can't they serve western everyday?"

 

8. On managing meal expectations

9. On uneaten food
