An ex-City Harvest church goer explains why he used to be a CHC church goer

He said he was left with "no choice" but to leave the church.

Recently, a City Harvest Church (CHC) goer explained on her blog on why she chose to stay with the church despite the troubles its leadership is facing in court now.

Now, a 39-year-old self-employed man, who was an ex-CHC member for seven years between 1995 and 2011, felt that he should also give the other side of the story -- of those church goers who left CHC.

You can check out his posts on his Facebook, but here is an extract of what he wrote:

1. He has great respect for Pastors Kong Hee, Sun Ho and Tan Ye Peng.

He said that the pastors taught him many things - he would not have been where he was if not for them.

2. He believes in the Crossover Project and supported the project up to 2005.

He felt that the first phase of the Crossover Project was "pure and glorious".

He described Crossover Project's initial intention: "Sun Ho cutting mandarin albums which carries a positive message, run concert tours all throughout Asia and then share her testimony and Pastor Kong will then deliver the altar call and get people to come to Christ."

However, he felt that the Crossover project after 2006 was just "surprisingly ridiculous" and has become a "double cross". He could not explain songs like China Wine, Kill Bill and You Stupid.

3. He left CHC because he was left with "no choice".

He asked the leaders of CHC to "accept dissident views with objectivity".

He said that CHC was his "second home" and his life, "until somebody decided otherwise because we do not see eye to eye".
